Speaker Series 1 - Solara Suncare founder Stephanie Dipisa

For my inaugural Speaker Event, I had the pleasure of interviewing Stephanie DiPisa, founder and CEO of Solara Suncare.

Solara is an amazing suncare brand dedicated to creating safer and cleaner suncare products. Their products are vegan, reef-safe, cruelty-free, and plant powered.

Stephanie searched desperately for clean, safe suncare products that wouldn’t irritate her kids’ sensitive skin. To her surprise, she couldn’t find any products that fit her needs, so she created her own!

One of the reasons why I was so interested in interviewing Stephanie was because she has no background in suncare. She previously worked in public relations and majored in Architecture.

For many of us in high school, trying to solve the question “What college do you want to go to?” only brings up more questions. You have to pick your college targets based on where you want to live or what you want to study. And you have to choose what you want to study based on your desired career. So that seemingly simple question brings up a whole world of confusion for a high schooler who still has to worry about high school!

That is why interviewing Stephanie was so important to me. Seeing someone so successful, who didn’t have a “traditional” business education took a lot of the pressure off making such a big decision.

I hope you enjoy watching my first-ever speaker event because I definitely had fun making it! I also hope you absorb some of Stephanie’s wisdom and find some inspiration from her journey (I know I did!)

(P.S. I’m super excited about our next event! We’ll be hearing from an incredible marketer who’s launching her own wellness beverage. I hope you’ll join me for that chat on Sept. 27 at 5:30 p.m. PT. Details can be found on the Artemis website, and be sure to get notified by signing up on this short form!)
